"Awwwwwwiiiiieeeee.." is an actor and singer. His real name is Ahmad Azhar. He is the lead vocalist of the famous rock group Wings. Awie was born on November 24, 1968 in Kampung Datuk Keramat, Kuala Lumpur. His father is Othman bin Maarof and his mother is Azizah Abdul Hamid. He had three sisters and two brothers. Two of them deceased. Epy is his stepbrother from Sarawak and who can sing rock songs like Awie too. During his childhood years he was suffering from a chronic Hypotrichosis. Local film fans already called him 'hero pencen'. He was once engaged to beautiful actress Erra Fazira, his co-star in the hit movie 'Sembilu'. Surprisingly however, Awie later married singer Arni Nazira, his co-star in movie 'Nafas Cinta'. They have two daughters. Unfortunately in Oct 2006 after eight years of marriage, Arni filed for divorce. The reason was said to be Awie's secret marriage to Rozana Misbun in southern Thai.
