Malay singer Ila Sabry (Fasilah Sabry) was born in Kangar, Perlis in 15 March 1979. She was the eldest in a family of five.
Reading is her hobby, especially novels. She reads a lot during her school days. She will read any reading materials. She like reading novels by Sidney Sheldon. It improves her English.
She took part in a singing contest (Bakat Suara Utara) at Kulim in 1992 while she was in form two.
In 1993, she participated in 'Bintang RTM', and in 1999 she took part in 'Bintang Pop Balada' in Penang.
She was chosen by Penang Tourism Board to sing a song in Japan from 12-16 April 2001.
She was offered to be a recording artiste by Roslan Aziz Production (RAP) when she was in form two. However she turned down the offer as her family did not give a greenlight.
She also decline an offer to be an actress because she always thought that she is not yet ready.
She sang a song for the soundtrack of 'Gerak Khas The Movie' ('Kerana Mu Kasih'), composed by Ajai.
